Ruriko Yamakawa Soryu　山川　るり子（宗瑠）

Soryu taught the Omotesenke style at the Nippon club's culture courses in New York City. She conducted tea workshops at several prestigious private universities and organized numerous public tea gatherings in NYC. Additionally, she promoted charitable works and cultural support activities while serving as a treasurer for Omotesenke Domonkai Eastern Region USA. In December 2021, she returned to her hometown after 25 years in the US to fulfill her dream of mastering Japanese tea ceremony.  In January 2024, her tearoom was completed.  Now, she aims to foster cultural communication worldwide from her tearoom in Kumamoto.
